We care for the world we live in every day, but for us at Panache, an Aveda Salon, April is the festival of environmental love known as Earth Month. This April, we joyfully give back to our community by supporting our local environmental partner, the Matanzas Riverkeeper and a cause very dear to our heart, the Patricia Orsini Memorial Scholarship.
The mission of the Matanzas Riverkeeper is to protect the health of our river and its watershed through advocacy, education and engagement. Along the Matanzas marshes you might spot their “Litter Gitter” boat doing a waterway clean up or see the Riverkeeper, Jen Lomberk, in the news negotiating the preservation of the environmentally sensitive land in St. Johns County.
The Patricia Orsini Memorial Scholarship was created by Panache stylist Juliana Koutouzakis in memory of her mom, Pat. “She encouraged me to go to cosmetology school when my life was upside down. This not
only set my life on a course toward success but toward a more compassionate mindset. The touch and time involved in hairstyling forms meaningful connections between people. This scholarship extends that opportunity that she gave me to cosmetology students who are ready to begin their new life through beauty.”
The Earth Month Boutique collection features recycled, sustainable and eco friendly fashion, accessories and gifts made by our very own Panache team members and families. The time and talent of our artisans and designers shows the passion we have as a team to connect with our community in a meaningful way.
